Replace the Ultramagic Basket/Burner system and fuel tanks with the Balloonworks (FireFly) Basket Model 4.5A1, S/N 1065 the Balloonworks (FireFly) Burner Model T3-017, S/N; and Balloonworks (FireFly) aluminum fuel tanks, S/Ns 22213J, 22179J, and 2181J, and/or Balloonworks (FireFly) stainless steel fuel tanks, S/Ns 10064, 10041, and 10079. The Balloonworks (FireFly) Basket/Burner is installed via the standard Balloonworks (FireFly) carabiner (snaplink) attachments as specified in the FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement dated June 9, 2011.
What is an STC?
A Supplemental Type Certificate authorizes a major modification or alteration to an FAA-certificated aircraft. STCs are how operators legally install new avionics, change fuel systems, add floats, swap engines, etc. — every change beyond a minor modification needs one.
