Fabrication and installation of Boundary Layer Research (BLR) single tail boom mounted strake per Master Drawing List No. BL-UH1H-01, Rev D, dated September 10, 2001, or later FAA approved revision; and per BLR Installation Drawing List No. BL-UH1H-02, Revision D, dated September 10, 2001, (upper strake installation, only) or later FAA approved revision, and BLR Installation Manual No. STBS UH-1, dated January 14, 2002.
What is an STC?
A Supplemental Type Certificate authorizes a major modification or alteration to an FAA-certificated aircraft. STCs are how operators legally install new avionics, change fuel systems, add floats, swap engines, etc. — every change beyond a minor modification needs one.
