Factual narrative

On June 22, 2017, about 0900 hours universal coordinated time, a Bell 204B helicopter, Austrian registration OE-XRK, sustained substantial damage during an autorotation following a loss of engine power while conducting sling load operations near Alpbach, Austria. The pilot was not injured. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Austrian Civil Aviation Safety Investigative Authority.
