Replace the Balony Kubicek Basket/Burner system and fuel tanks with the FireFly (Balloon Works) Basket Model 4.9A1, S/N 528 the FireFly (Balloon Works) Burner Model F1, S/N 815; and FireFly (Balloon Works) fuel tanks, P/N 3035, S/Ns 76908J, and 23931J, and/or FireFly (Balloon Works) fuel tanks, P/N 3035-2, S/N G182042, and/or FireFly (Balloon Works) fuel tanks, P/N 3229-2, S/N G182034. The Balloonworks (FireFly) Basket/Burner is installed via the standard Balony Kubicek carabiner (snaplink) attachments as specified in the FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement dated August 29, 2011.
What is an STC?
A Supplemental Type Certificate authorizes a major modification or alteration to an FAA-certificated aircraft. STCs are how operators legally install new avionics, change fuel systems, add floats, swap engines, etc. — every change beyond a minor modification needs one.
