Replace the Balony Kubicek Basket/Burner system and fuel tanks with the FireFly (Balloon Works) Basket Model 6096, S/N D016 the FireFly (Balloon Works) Burner Model F1, S/N 824/827; and FireFly (Balloon Works) fuel tanks, P/N 3035, S/Ns G186655, G186603, G186645, and G184160, and/or FireFly (Balloon Works) fuel tanks, P/N 3229-2, S/Ns G186585 and G186651. The Balloonworks (FireFly) Basket/Burner is installed via the standard Balony Kubicek carabiner (snaplink) attachments as specified in the FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement dated November 22, 2011.
What is an STC?
A Supplemental Type Certificate authorizes a major modification or alteration to an FAA-certificated aircraft. STCs are how operators legally install new avionics, change fuel systems, add floats, swap engines, etc. — every change beyond a minor modification needs one.
