The STC alteration consists of Installation of Aerial Refueling equipment, including a Boom, Centerline Drogue, Optional Wing Air Refueling Pod (WARP) Kit and an Aerial Refueling Operator Station (AROS). The alteration will also include installation of Military mission equipment for communication, navigation, and mission-equipment items.
What is an STC?
A Supplemental Type Certificate authorizes a major modification or alteration to an FAA-certificated aircraft. STCs are how operators legally install new avionics, change fuel systems, add floats, swap engines, etc. — every change beyond a minor modification needs one.
