Factual narrative

On May 9, 2015, about 1430 local time, a Cessna 182J, Brazilian registration PT-CND, was destroyed when it impacted the Baú River, near Novo Progresso, Pará State, Brazil. The Brazilian pilot was fatally injured. The flight, which originated at Novo Progresso Airport (SJNP), was destined for Pista Nova, Pará State, Brazil, was operated under Brazilian flight regulations. The investigation is under the direction of the Government of Brazil.
