Lycoming Part Number (P/N) 71450, valve cover gasket for the engine models listed on Page 3 of this Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) is being replaced with the gasket P/N RG-71450, manufactured in accordance with Doug Price Co. Inc. Drawing Number 03, dated January 31, 1986, or later FAA approved revision.
What is an STC?
A Supplemental Type Certificate authorizes a major modification or alteration to an FAA-certificated aircraft. STCs are how operators legally install new avionics, change fuel systems, add floats, swap engines, etc. — every change beyond a minor modification needs one.
